Full Plates and Pelts

plates are made from the hides all the shorter hair areas are removed and matching pelts are pieced in to make a larger block of fur for cutting patterns . Plates are priced wholesale to take into consideration that they are rarely perfect and there will be some small holes and loose seams to work around. Pelts are how the plates start they are a tanned sheep skin, still in the sheep shape . hair will be shorter around the edges. hair averages 3-5" almost always there will be some tears or wholes . but there are no seams so it is easier to cut larger paterns with no seam .
