Yellow Bombey silk fiber

this lot is 1 skein weight 108 grams 3.8 oz ( there are several different weights available so there are different listings )
2 skeins in the picture the listing is for one at a time
this is very fine loosly spun silk 1 full skein uncut
This came to me fine loosly plyed yarn done on the charka
it is still in the sericin this blooms when degumbed so if it will be used to knit it should be plied before washing
I found this best for thrums yarn and embelishing if not plied
I am making it available for blending, paper making or felting
this might also be interesting to weave then degumb
also avalable in several other put ups that have been degumbed

This can be spun as is or blended with your favorite fibers for spinning ,felting,paper craft,embelishing.or doll making.

About Yellow Bombeysilk this silk has a natural yellow gold color and a wonderful shine

Silk worm need a higher humidity as also it can sustain wide range of temperature. silk rearing is conducted throughout the year and five to six crops are taken annually.

The larval spun varies considerably depending on the climate seasons.

Traditional dresses are woven of yellow silk for ceremonial wear for both men and women.
